Guides to sourcing and vetting enterprise datasets
These guides go one level deeper than the spec sheets. Each takes a single question a lab data team meets while sourcing enterprise data and answers it with primary sources, worked tables and a short FAQ. The newest guide comes first.
FAQ
About the guides
What do these guides cover?
Questions a lab or data vendor runs into while sourcing enterprise data: dataset specs, schemas, documentation, de-identification evidence, licence terms, procurement steps and RL environments. Seller-side topics are out of scope.
Where do the facts in the guides come from?
From primary sources: regulation texts, company filings and official documentation. Every figure links to its source together with the date it was checked.
How often is a new guide published?
About once a week. Each guide shows the date it was published, and an updated date when its content changes in substance.
How do the guides relate to the spec sheets and templates?
The spec sheets, the JSONL schema and the datasheet template are the reference. A guide works through one decision at a time and links back to the reference pages it builds on.
Can I share a guide with my team or suggest a topic?
Yes. The guides are free to read and to share inside your team. Send topic ideas or corrections to hello@aidataset.broker.
